Poyao Huang is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Health Behaviors and Community Sciences and the Master of Public Health Program at National Taiwan University. His research draws on theories and methods from Science and Technology Studies (STS), gender studies, and media studies to examine the sexual health of gay men in East Asian contexts, with particular attention to stigma, health inequalities, and the production and practice of lay knowledge.
His research focuses on sexualized drug use and chemsex among gay men, and explores how these practices interact with online and offline sociotechnical arrangements. His work has been published in international journals including Social Science & Medicine, BioSocieties, Sexualities, and the International Journal of Drug Policy.
黃柏堯為國立臺灣大學健康行為與社區科學研究所及公共衛生碩士學位學程副教授。他的研究結合科技與社會研究（Science and Technology Studies, STS）、性別研究與媒體研究的理論與方法，探討東亞脈絡下男同志的性健康議題，特別關注污名、健康不平等，以及常民知識在此脈絡下的生產與實踐。他的研究聚焦於男同志在性行為情境中的藥物使用（sexualized drug use）及藥愛文化（chemsex），並探討其與線上及線下社會技術安排（sociotechnical arrangements）之間的互動關係。他的研究成果發表於《Social Science & Medicine》、《BioSocieties》、《Sexualities》及《International Journal of Drug Policy》等國際期刊。
